Alexandra Pittman (She/Her)

Alexandra is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She received a BA in Psychology from Sonoma State University and a Master’s in Counseling from the University of San Francisco.

Alexandra is focused on creating a warm and welcoming therapeutic environment. She prioritizes relationship building and trust throughout every client’s mental health journey. Alexandra’s therapy style focuses heavily on genuineness, acceptance, and support for her clients. She hopes that every client will feel seen and empowered in their work together.

Alexandra began her clinical work as a school-based counselor. She has enjoyed working with children, teens and young adults, as well as their parents and caregivers. Alexandra uses a mixture of person-centered therapy, CBT and DBT to help clients work through difficulties, including anxiety, depression, ADHD and OCD. She also has experience working with identity exploration and gender non-conforming individuals. Additionally, she has helped young people struggling with toxic perfectionism, low self-confidence and low self-compassion.

Alexandra’s clients can expect to work in tandem with her to set therapeutic goals, build new skills and explore values to gain a better understanding of themselves and their strengths.

Alexandra has training in TF-CBT from the Medical University of South Carolina, which has helped her to work with adolescents struggling with trauma.

When Alexandra isn’t practicing therapy, she enjoys reading, crocheting, and playing with her rescue dog, Cricket. She also enjoys hiking and camping with her partner and daughter.

Alexandra is accepting clients of all ages for telehealth and in-person sessions with clients in California. Our AMFTs like Alexandra receive weekly supervision from our team of licensed supervisors.
