Ben Fletcher is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington, where he spent four years as a member of the rowing team. From there, he went on to earn his M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, further strengthening his foundation as a therapist.

Since beginning his clinical career, Ben has provided trauma-informed therapy in private practice settings throughout San Francisco and Oakland. Along the way, he has supported individuals and couples as they navigate life changes, substance use issues, relationship dynamics, anxiety, and depression. At the same time, his calm and grounded presence has made him an especially good fit for high achievers of all ages who are looking for meaningful support.

In each session, Ben creates a calm and welcoming environment where clients can explore their experiences with curiosity and confidence. From the very beginning, he encourages clients to better understand themselves while also helping them develop practical tools for everyday life. Rather than stopping at self-awareness alone, Ben works collaboratively with motivated clients to identify patterns, strengthen new skills, and create lasting change. As a result, clients often leave therapy feeling more empowered and equipped to move forward. Throughout the entire process, Ben remains a loyal ally, offering consistent support and encouragement every step of the way.

In addition to his clinical work, Ben has continued to pursue his passion for rowing. After coaching at the University of Washington, he began working with the athletes on UC Berkeley’s men’s rowing team. There, he teaches meditation and mindfulness practices that complement their athletic training while also supporting their mental well-being and overall performance. Through this work, he helps athletes strengthen both their physical endurance and their mental resilience.

Likewise, Ben feels deeply connected to the Bay Area, having grown up in the Lamorinda community. Because of those roots, he is passionate about giving back to the place that helped shape him. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and newborn son, playing chess, and cooking. In addition, he trains for ultra-distance trail running races and has completed numerous 50- and 100-mile trail races. Ultimately, his commitment to endurance, growth, and perseverance extends beyond athletics and reflects the same dedication he brings to his work with every client.

Ben is accepting clients of all ages for telehealth and in-person sessions with clients in California. Our AMFTs like Ben receive weekly supervision from our team of licensed supervisors.
