Eric Stullman Headshot

Eric is a graduate of UC Berkeley and earned his masters in counseling from Cal State East Bay. He brings to Loyal Blue extensive experience working with children and teens of many different backgrounds who have had issues with trauma, depression and anxiety. He is calm, patient, and has a wide variety of interests and ideas for all ages. Clients love Eric’s sense of humor and unflappable personality.

Eric is a licensed supervisor for our associate MFT training program.

Upon completion of his schooling, Eric obtained work as a crisis and special services counselor for a local high school for 14 years. During this time he also trained with Kaiser at a child and adolescent clinic concentrating on families, children on the spectrum, and acting out adolescents. He went on to work as a mental health therapist for Pleasanton Unified School Disctrict working with children and adolescents who have learning disabilities and social/emotional issues. This work involved frequent consultation with school personnel and active involvement with families and their struggles.

Though Eric has a long history of working with children of all ages and their families, his primary focus at Loyal Blue is supporting young adults, couples and individuals. He knows what it takes to manage the stressors and adaptations required in modern day life and can provide steady guidance to adults in various stages and situations. Because of his experience with teens and children, Eric is also especially skilled at counseling adults to help them build lives for themselves and their loved ones that will set them up for success.

Eric has a wonderful sense of humor, warmth, and easygoing vibe that builds rapport with his clients. He leads with the solution-focused idea that the client is the expert in regards to their life, and helps provide practical strategies that align with each client. He utilizes a developmental perspective along with elements of CBT, DBT and mindfulness to assist the client in acquiring skills to cope with managing stress.

During his free time Eric loves spending time outdoors with his family, especially beach-oriented excursions. He enjoys playing his guitar, working out, movies, and live music.

Eric is accepting accepting new clients, and available for in-person sessions as well as telehealth within the state of California.
