Jessica is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her BA in Sociology from UC Berkeley and her Master’s in Counseling from CSU East Bay.
Jessica prioritizes building a strong relationship with her clients. She is patient with those who may feel hesitant about therapy. She works especially well with shy, socially anxious, and introverted clients. Her solution-focused approach combines warmth and humor. This can be especially helpful for teens and clients who are unsure about therapy.
Jessica has advanced training in cognitive behavioral therapy. She is one of our therapists to earn the prestigious Level Two TEAM-CBT certification from the Feeling Good Institute. This training allows her to work with concerns such as anxiety, depression, OCD, and behavioral challenges. Jessica is also trained in CBT-I, an evidence-based approach for insomnia and sleep difficulties.
Before joining Loyal Blue, Jessica worked as a high school counselor. This experience gave her insight into the unique challenges young people face today. She is passionate about supporting pre-teens, teens, and young adults as they navigate stress, relationships, self-esteem, and everyday challenges.
Jessica uses evidence-based approaches to help clients build coping skills and improve communication. She also helps clients develop greater confidence and self-esteem. She strives to create a supportive environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves and working toward meaningful change.
Outside of therapy, Jessica enjoys reading, pottery, crocheting, and baking. She also loves spending time by the water and exploring nature with her dog.
Jessica is accepting clients of all ages for telehealth and in-person sessions with clients in California.
